It's all changed!
At the start of the month, I was informed that I'd no longer be going to Mauritania, due to recent security breaches (most noticeably attacks claimed by Al-Qaeda!).
The 2 girls from my group have been placed in Dakar, the capital of Senegal and my partner Shaun has been placed in Uganda.
After having spoken to PT, I'm currently being considered for an 8 month placement, leaving in January, in Senegal, though this can't be confirmed until nearer November, with a definite placement available in Uganda.
Whilst the plus side of Senegal is that it's French speaking, the main draw back is that I may be living on my own (or possibly with 2 lads). This all depends on what happens on the 8 month training and if there's a project even out there for me!
On the money front waiting until January is no problem, as I was only ever paying the 8 month amount and it was what I signed up for in the first place.
In the mean time I'm looking for a part time job or 2, which with Christmas temping coming up, should be successful!
