Tees!

So today is the day the t-shirts arrived, and they look pretty funky, so thanks to Project Trust & Ali S!

I spent most of last night putting together a letter for my head master outlining the project & initial ideas on how the school can help/what I'd like to do in school.

The end of term summer party & BBQ dates are coming together, and I'm waiting on input from the band as to whether they can make the date.

More supermarkets have been researched and letters being printed off as a type.

This morning I've made a start on putting my leaflet together, which is taking a while, but will be worth it!

I'm also now signed up on twitter & flickr, one to keep whom may be concerned up to date with my efforts, & the other ready for uploading photos from the fundraising events!

Just about to head out to the library to begin looking for chairtable trusts to write to!

Long day ahead it seems! Hehe!

Half Marathon!

I've signed up for the Sony Ericsson "Run to the beat" half marathon today.

A brave move some might say, others would say foolish.... Haha

But I'm feeling confident, I've got my training back on its way and time on my side!

The run is the 27th September at the O2 area, so it's gonna be immense!

Can't wait! On with the training!

On another note, I'm now up to 23 volunteers for bag packing, thanks guys!

Bag packing to send Molkie to Mauritania

So the latest:-

  • I have address for Sainsburys & Waitrose to start investigating doing a bag packing day
  • A facebook group for packing bag volunteers
  • Have 4! People to bag pack
  • A meeting with my head of year
As you may have noticed I have also created a graphic for the top of my page! So thanks to PROJECT TRUST for their images!

I'm also investigating the possibilities of doing a sponsored hair and/or leg wax at school, so I'll see what my HoY has to say about it.

Plus I'm pursuing different local clubs who might be interested in donating.

Time to get letter writing!

Project Trust - I've been selected!

So, as of the 20th April 2009, I am now guaranteed a placement abroad with Project Trust

In the email, I'm being offered, in this order of probability;

  1. Mauritania
  2. Chile
  3. Senegal
I've been told to work on the principle of going to Mauritania, which means I need to get back up to Coll on the 13th-17th July for the training week, and I'll get to meet all my partners.

From the sound of it, I'll be able to get to Mauritania as soon as I get the funds together, seeing as I'm doing training with the 12 month people, which is good, I might get more than 8 months abroad!
